Dr. Boniface Stegman, Ph.D., MSN, RN, is an experienced clinical leader with decades of expertise in pre-hospital and hospital staff education and direction, as well as in emergency nursing as a staff RN. Dr. Stegman, an associate professor of nursing at Maryville University, began her professional career as a paramedic in North St. Louis County in the late 1970s. This led to her pursuing a nursing career in 1982 after graduating from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley.
From the early 1980s though the mid-2000s, Dr. Stegman held notable nursing education and director positions. Her shift to the academic world began in 2008 after she completed her MSN Nurse Educator at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. After that, she was an adjunct faculty for Central Methodist University, Goldfarb College of Nursing, and the University of Missouri – St. Louis while still employed at St. Anthony’s Medical Center. She then obtained her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2013.
